There are places dedicated to the vital energies of healing. The ancients called them temenos. I call them sanctuary.
At these places, under the special guidance of those who had gone before, the sick, the grieving, and the despondent could find peace. They knew that they had stepped into a place and had entered a process that would allow them to heal.
Clients enter my clinical office in search of that temenos. They find a place where they can heal from the unexpected disruptions, chronic disappointments, profound grief, and repetitive anxieties that mark their lives.
They tell me that, finally, they can see what is going on, understand how it impacts their lives, let go of it, and develop more productive and joyous ways to engage life.
I use several different therapeutic approaches to facilitate that healing, all in service of long-term, even permanent, healing of persistent issues.
